At $8 for a single mimosa and $35 for bottomless, this is one of the rare brunches you might actually want to contemplate whether the bottomless deal is worth it, but we spent the $35 just for you, our dear readers. Unfortunately, the mimosas were so sweet we'd recommend sticking to one (or none).
As disappointing as this is to write about a French restaurant, avoid the (stale, bready) croissant at all costs. The sandwiches, whether you go brunch or lunch, are perfectly solid (and reasonably priced), but the fries are the real reason to order.
To their credit, when we mentioned the sugar overload, our server quickly emerged with a more champagne-heavy carafe. Even then, we didn't get close to testing the two-hour limit, because we were ready to call it well before then.
Bonne Vie joins the sadly long list of restaurants that look like the owners simply replaced some signage over the weekend and then immediately reopened (not that we really miss you, Baby Shank). The restaurant advertises a jazz brunch, but we were seated on the jazz-less rooftop and basically melted. C'est la vie.
We're like the postmen. We brunch in rain, sleet, or snow
