Look, we can't pretend $60 isn't an absurd bottomless price, but if you're into this sort of thing, Laurent-Perrier is at least real Champagne you couldn't just buy at Safeway for five bucks, which already puts Cafe Riggs on a much higher tier than most bottomless drink options. The seasonal infusions — like lavender basil and raspberry lemonade — are more exciting than the usual orange juice alternatives, and even come with some blueberries, too. Our only complaint is that the bottomless Champagne "cart" is a bit of a misnomer, since the cart is nowhere to be found after your initial pour.

Food

The meal prices feel downright reasonable after shelling out for the Champagne — we've sadly spent more than $20 on omelets at much worse brunches. The croque madame is the star of the show, but if you're feeling frisky, you can always experiment with the brunch burrata.

Service

Usually we're wary of places that don't leave the champagne ("champagne") bottle at the table, but we can say with confidence that our server never let our glasses run dry. We even got a complimentary burrata after an allergy snafu.

Ambiance

3.93

The Corinthian columns left over from the building's former life as the grand banking hall of Riggs National Bank, paired with the sheer scale of the dining room, make you forget you're in a restaurant bar, which is just about the highest compliment we can pay.

We're like the postmen. We brunch in rain, sleet, or snow
